OH NO, NOT ANOTHER SOCIAL NETWORK, YOU SAY

With the success of social neworks as Facebook, MySpace and LinkedIn it seems like starting another network is redundant. We say not if it is done well and serves its members well. We want it to focus on business activities, to create community, connections, sharing and collaboration with the objectives of adding value to members' business. Help us make this a really strong and productive business tool.

Initially we will invite alumni and grads of the Venture and BEST programs who are currently in business and who are growing their businesses but beyond that we want to open this network up to all small and micro businesses out there who have so much common interest in growing business. The idea of starting somewhat small is so that we can develop a meaningful and useful network organically. I believe social networks can be a huge benefit as a business tool as long as it is structured properly so as you can see this is a work in progress.

Hey Ken!

Glad to be a part of the initial group. I have a couple of questions; first is, how do I report a spammer? There's a new join today by a guy with an herbal affiliate program and I think he's a spammer because there is no additional information listed about his company. How do I, as an active member of the community, report spam, trolls, and other people who just want to waste time?

Also, there are no tools for cropping our photos so we can have them properly centred for our profile pic. Sure, you folks have a program that automatically crops but it's not very accurate and there's nothing we can do about it. Please look into that and get back to me/us.

Other than that, I'm looking forward to helping turn our sleepy little online community to a bustling hub!
