Susan Easton founded Competitive Edge Career Services in 2007 as a general career service and quickly discovered that her passion and talent for drawing out the authentic person behind the resume had profound effects on her clients and their careers. She also discovered that this work had a name: Personal Branding. Personal Branding is a wildly successful process that gives clients the tools they need to bulletproof their careers throughout their working lives.
Susan's experience includes 8 years in Human Resources, 5 years in Tourism, and 17 years in Career Development. She is a Certified Reach Personal Branding Strategist, Certified Reach 360 Personal Branding Analyst, a Certified Interview Consultant, and a Certified Resume Strategist, with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Music.
Since founding Competitive Edge Career Services in Prince George British Columbia she has been nominated for Career Professionals of Canada Awards of Excellence and had her work published in two career guides, the Vancouver Sun, and the Edmonton Journal.
An Original
No recipe will ever come out of her kitchen the same way twice and no two art projects could possibly look alike. Irrepressibly right-brained, Susan’s believes in throwing new ingredients into the mix to provoke and inspire original results. She has a long-standing reputation for the strength of her creative vision and for inspiring clients to embrace creative strategies for achieving their dreams.
Lapsed Adrenaline Junkie (almost)
Susan has pursued Sky Diving, Scuba Diving, Sport Motorcycling, Martial Arts, music, travel, and numerous high profile work projects in the past. Today, she gets the adrenaline flowing by developing creative strategies for adventurous clients to realize their C-Level career goals.
Balancing Act:
Work-life balance is important to Susan and key to her success: she currently runs Competitive Edge Career Services, works with a non-profit women’s group on leadership and career programs, plays double bass with the Prince George Symphony Orchestra, pursues a rewarding career as a mother to 2 beautiful little girls, and maintains a lookout for more inspiring opportunities to add to the palette of her life. Without balance, the palette of life isn’t very colourful. What colours are on your palette?
